The NDSU Volunteer Network coordinated a food drive from October 18th through November 1st. All of the donations were given to Great Plains Food Bank of Fargo, which provides for food shelters across the entire state of North Dakota. This year the goal was set at 350 items which was blown away with a total collection of 667 personal and food items weighing 497 pounds. Next year the staff of the Volunteer Network hope to collect 1000 personal and food items. This event was a great success due to the donations received from NDSU staff, faculty, and students! I huge thank you to everyone who donated!!!
...providing curricular and co-curricular service-learning opportunities for the NDSU community.
"The mission of the Volunteer Network is to instill an understanding and acceptance of Service-Learning by inspiring students, faculty, and staff to take an active role in our local and global community."
What is Volunteer Network?
The Volunteer Network is the Service-Learning program at North Dakota State University. Our staff match volunteers with service opportunities in the community, maintain relationships with community agencies, and offer campus-wide service and social activism projects.
The staff of the Volunteer Network are also able to assist faculty interested in providing a service-learning project in their courses. For more information about creating or strengthening a service-learning course, go to the "Info for Faculty" tab on the left.
